Usmania High School Gujrat

Usmania High School ? Educating with Purpose, Inspiring with Values The vision for Usmania High School, Gujrat was born out of real community needs observed during the early years of social service led by Muhammad Saif Ullah Khan (Khan Shb). While reconstructing Usmania Masjid in the early 1980s, Khan Shb simultaneously engaged in a wide range of social welfare activities?including arranging marriages for underprivileged families, guiding youth toward purposeful community involvement, helping resolve family and neighbourhood disputes, providing educational support to deserving students, organizing medical assistance and health camps with local doctors and hospitals, and offering aid to drug-affected youth, along with addressing public safety challenges in the community.

As these services expanded, Khan Shb realized the growing need for a dedicated space?a community centre?since many of these welfare activities occasionally disrupted the core religious environment of the Masjid. Responding to this need, he initiated a new project in 1999?2000: the construction of a Community Centre and a Residential Jamia (for girls).

The result was a state-of-the-art multi-story complex featuring:
  • Two large community halls (on ground and first floors) for social and welfare programs.
  • A residential Jamia Usmania lil Banat (on the upper floors) offering spiritual and religious education for female students.

Soon afterward, the community raised a pressing concern?the lack of a formal school within a 3-kilometre radius. Responding once again to the voice of the people, Usmania High School was established in 2012, initially with just 29 students at the primary level.
With every passing year, the school gained respect, trust, and admiration from the community. Due to its growing impact, the school was upgraded to middle level in 2017. The academic success of its students, especially those who moved on to other institutions, motivated the administration to further upgrade the school to high school level in 2022.

Today, Usmania High School serves over 550 students, of whom 267 come from low-income or marginalized families and receive free or highly subsidized education. The institution is recognized not only for its academic excellence, but also for its emphasis on values, discipline, and service.

Due to reaching its full capacity, the school has temporarily suspended new admissions until the construction of a new ?High School Block? is completed?a testament to the school`s popularity, quality, and the growing trust of the community.
